WAD | Unions’ Publishing Leaders Meet for New Strategies
The Director of the Publishing Department of the West-Central Africa Division, pastor Koomson William in collaboration with publishing leaders from the General Conference and publishing houses (Safeliz, Stanborough, and Advent Press), is holding a council focused on training and strategic strengthening at the Division headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
This meeting, which brings together publishing directors from the various unions of the Division, aims to revitalize the literature evangelism ministry in a context marked by technological changes and new mission challenges. Over several days, participants will take part in intensive training sessions, experience-sharing, and strategic reflections.
At the heart of the discussions are the development of new approaches to literature distribution, the integration of digital tools into colporteur ministry, and the improvement of publishing production to effectively meet the spiritual and intellectual needs of the population. Partner publishing houses are also sharing their expertise in content quality, distribution, and innovation.
General Conference representatives present at the event are encouraging participants to strengthen their missionary commitment through publications, which are considered as a powerful tool for evangelism. They emphasize the need to train more literature evangelists and to motivate young people to get involved in this ministry.
Practical workshops are being organized to equip participants with modern techniques in marketing, inventory management, and performance tracking. In addition, particular emphasis is being placed on contextualizing publications to better respond to the cultural realities of the territories covered by the Division.
