Cameroon |  A “DINOSAUR” GETS BAPTIZED

Sabbath, January 24, 2024, was a great moment of blessing for the West-Central Cameroon Union Mission. In addition to the installation ceremony of the new administrators of the Union, the South-Central Conference recorded the baptism of Brigadier General AGHA Robinson NDONG. The man who describes himself as “the last dinosaur” in his family made the decision to now serve the Lord as a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Born into a Presbyterian family, AGHA Robinson NDONG is indeed the last member of his family to be baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church. His wife, Charlote AGHA, and all of his children had already embraced Adventism before him.
This decision sounds like an acknowledgment, for this military leader, of the many blessings his family has received from the Lord. His wife, whom he considers as a virtuous woman, played a decisive role in his decision to become an Adventist. The AGHA family has been actively involved in the WAD-IMPACT Family program launched in 2025 by the West-Central Africa Division (WAD). Family worship is a living reality in their home, with the General himself serving as the main leader. (See inset box.)

The Cameroonian army General was immersed by Pastor Abraham WALKO, Executive Secretary of the Bénoué-Faro Mission, in a swimming pool inside his residence. The ceremony took place in the presence of the President, the Executive Secretary, and the Treasurer of the West-Central Africa Division of Seventh-day Adventists, as well as leaders of the WCCUM (West-Central Cameroon Union Mission).
It should be recalled that General AGHA Robinson Ndong is the Commander of the Fourth Joint Military Region in Maroua.
