Celebration of the 20th anniversary of the West-Central Africa Division and one year of the administration on this Thursday, June 08, 2023.
On this day, June 08, 2023, a double ceremony took place in the premises of the West-Central Africa Division in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. This ceremony commemorates the 20th anniversary of this institution since it was split in two.  This event is coupled with the celebration of the 365 days of the new administrators elected during the last General Conference Session in the United States last June.
Indeed, grateful to God, the administrators of the Division after the 365 days of their election as heads of this institution invited all the staff to join them in giving glory to God for his benevolence, his love and especially for his presence in decisions making to unite one another and to participate in the preparation of souls for the glorious return of Christ.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the treasurer of the Division, elder Marcus Dangana offered a prayer to God in which he thanked Heaven for His leadership and kindness towards all and especially for the grace He gives to each one in the accomplishment of their daily tasks. He also prayed that the hand of God be upon every worker throughout the Division territory to reach the goal at the end of the year 2023; that is to increase the number of souls to a million membership through diligent work and passion for the salvation of all by answering the call I WILL GO.
Taking the floor, Pastor Sessou Selom, Executive Secretary of the Division recalled the history of the institution by pointing out some highlights of the Division’s existence. From the Africa Ocean Indian Division since its creation in January 2003, our Division became: West-Central Africa Division with 10 Unions, 5 universities, several primary and secondary schools and health centers. To date it has more than nine hundred thousand members.
In his address to all members, the President of the Division, Pastor Robert Osei-Bonsu did not fail to give glory to God for the efforts of both to carry out the propagation of the three angels message and to prepare a chosen generation for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. So he said: “I would like to express my deep appreciation to you all for your tireless service and sacrifices. You have embraced the challenges, travelled through uncharted territory and demonstrated resilience in the face of adversity.”  To the presidents of Unions, he expressed his deep satisfaction regarding the work achieve so far with the means at hand. “Your vision and unwavering commitment to the mission of the Seventh Day Adventist Church have been exemplary.”
The ceremony ended with a dedication prayer by the President of the Division, Pastor Robert Osei-Bonsu.
