The 7th National Adventist Women Ministries Congress in Cabo Verde gathered 750 women.

Since Wednesday, March 22, Adventist women in Cabo Verde gathered for a congress at the Convention Center of the University of Cabo Verde.
Under the theme "Women in Search of Wholeness", this congress witnessed the presence of Mrs. Omobonike Sessou, the West-Central Africa Division Women's Ministries Director and that of Pastor Ezekiel Danho, who represented the West Sahel Union Mission.

A speech honoring the Adventist woman, in particular, and the Cape Verdean woman, in general, was shared by the First Lady of Cabo Verde, Mrs. Débora Carvalho. On behalf of the women of the 22 countries of the West-Central Africa Division, she received a badge and a scarf with the effigy of the WM from the hands of the Director of Women's Ministries of the Division. From the women of Cabo Verde, led by Sister Mónica Pereira, the First Lady also received a package of gifts including a Bible for Women, the book "Great Controversy" and a WM Agenda.
Among the 750 women who gathered for the event, only 400 completed the different levls of the Leadership Training promoted by Andrews University and will receive their certificates this Sunday during a special graduation ceremony.

Sister Omobonike Sessou has been in Cabo Verde for two weeks, leading a series of evangelism that resulted in the baptism of 31 souls last Sabbath.  This result was possible because of several other preaching centers in the city of Praia.
