A NEWLY BUILT CHURCH HOUSE DONATED TO LONTO ADVENTIST CHURCH

Driven with a passion to see deprived communities evangelized and nurtured, Elder Dr. Daniel Agyemang, residenced in Nashville, USA, singlehandedly with God’s help, built a 300 seating capacity church edifice within nine months and donated to the Adventist congregation in Lonto, within the Salaga District of North Ghana Mission of the Northern Ghana Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

Helping Hands Sabbath School Class in Nashville, USA, also funded the construction of a mechanized borehole to provide potable water to the Lonto Community who until now used a river as their main water source.

On 25th February, 2023, the new church building and mechanized bore hole were dedicated by the President of the Northern Ghana Union Conference, Pr. Dr. Kwame Annor-Boahen, supported by the remaining officers of the Union and the officers of the North Ghana Mission. Seven individuals were baptized to the glory of God to join the less than 30 existing members of the Lonto congregation.
Among others, the Overlord of the Lonto Community, Nana Lonto Wuram II, attended the dedication ceremony and expressed appreciation to the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the role played in bringing development to his community.
The President of the North Ghana Mission, Pr. Paul Dapaah Siakwan, on behalf of the church, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Elder Dr. Daniel Agyemang and family as well as the Helping Hands Sabbath School Class for such sacrifices made in ministering to the people of Lonto. He used the opportunity to appeal to potential donors to come to the aid of North Ghana Mission to replicate what has been done in Lonto in other deprived communities within the field.
